Batteries Europe Meetings

I participated during 2019-2021 in the Batteries Europe project, which aims to bring together all relevant stakeholders in the European batteries research and innovation ecosystem in order to develop and support a competitive battery value chain in Europe. I acted as a representative of ESI Group in the following working groups:

  • WG1: New and Emerging Battery Technologies

  • WG3: Advanced Materials

  • WG4: Manufacturing and Cell Design

This lead to me participating in following European meetings organized by the European Commission:

  1. WG1 Panel Meeting, Batteries Europe
Helmholtz Institute Ulm (HIU), Germany — October 4, 2019

  2. WG1 Meeting, Batteries Europe
    European Commission, Brussels — February 27, 2020

  3. WG1 Batteries Europe Web Meeting
    Online — June 8, 2020

Seminars Given as a Presenter

  1. Batteries & Model Order Reduction Techniques
    Lille, France — January 20, 2020
Two-hour seminar delivered to professors, postdoctoral researchers, and PhD students of the L2EP research team (Laboratory of Electrical Engineering and Power Electronics), leading to in-depth discussions on Machine Learning and model order reduction techniques.

  2. Hybrid Twin Concept Applied to Battery Management Systems
    Madrid, Spain — February 10–12, 2020
Intensive 27-hour seminar delivered to the technical team of ESI Group Hispania S.L. about Machine Learning and the Hybrid Twin concept applied to Battery Management Systems.

Scientific Dissemination (SD)

Three Minute Thesis (French version)

In the field of scientific dissemination, I participated in the French competition “Ma thèse en 180 secondes (MT180s)”, inspired by the Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition founded by the University of Queensland (UQ).

The objective of this initiative is to cultivate doctoral students’ academic, presentation, and research communication skills while promoting the dissemination of PhD research topics to a broader audience.

I reached the HESAM Université Final — 2021 Edition.
The participation was broadcast live and recorded.

Three Minute Thesis (Spanish version)

I also took part in the Spanish version of the Three Minute Thesis (3MT) competition, reaching the final in November 2022. As with the French edition, the presentation was broadcast live and recorded.
