I’m Abel Sancarlos, and I work on creating, deploying and appliying AI and machine learning solutions to solve complex business problems across a wide range of sectors, from engineering to the financial sector. I’ve contributed to applied AI research journals and industry magazines, focusing on turning theory into real-world impact.

First, I worked on AI-driven projects in the engineering sector, where my work supported initiatives for major companies such as Dassault Aviation or participated in strategic European projects such as Batteries Europe. I’ve also spoken at international conferences and taught machine learning at universities in France and Spain.

Currently, I’m focused on AI innovation in the financial sector, building data-driven solutions and products for debt management and financial decision-making.

I always put all my efforts in everything I do, so I guess this is the reason I am holding a PhD in Machine Learning and Engineering —with honors— as well as receiving several academic awards.

Outside of day-to-day work:

• I enjoy writing and speaking about:

  1. current challenges in Machine Learning and AI systems,
  2. how to use them effectively to solve real business problems and
  3. how to unpack complex or novel ideas in a clear, engaging, and —hopefully— entertaining way.

• I enjoy teaching Machine Learning and AI engineering as well as contributing to scientific dissemination through talks, workshops, and events hosted by organizations that invite me.
